A weekend to understand how Self-knowledge transforms our inner life. Vedanta reveals how the seeker discovers the peace and freedom that are one's own true nature.
In this retreat we will take up the study of the Kaivalopanishad through talks, discussions, and insightful Q&A sessions.
Venue TBC
Sudhakar and Avania are based at the Vedanta Academy India, an educational institution designed to develop the intellect of individuals. They travel extensively lecturing on Vedanta Philosophy.
Sudhakar has been researching and sharing the development of the human intellect for over two decades. As an alumnus of the Vedanta Academy India, he regularly addresses premier universities and organisations worldwide including the United Nations, IMD, EY, Deloitte, Bank of Singapore, YPO and EO.
Avania is an alumna of the Vedanta Academy. From an early age her interest in philosophy has grown. She has dedicated the last two decades to the study and sharing of Vedanta, the timeless philosophy of living from India. With her degrees in literature and philosophy Avania’s exposition of the deep truths of life is both clear and practical.
This retreat explores one of the authentic Upanishads, a scriptural treatise containing the philosophy of Vedanta - the Kaivalyopanishad a profound text that reveals the nature of the Self and the path to lasting freedom.
It examines how a person can discover inner peace while living fully in the world.
Over four sessions, you'll study how:
The course blends the wisdom of the Upanishads with practical reflection—helping you shift your identity from the changing personality to the unchanging Awareness within. It presents a clear and systematic approach to Self-discovery, showing that freedom is not something to be attained in the future, but recognised as your own essential nature.
Set in the tranquil (venue TBC), the annual Vedanta Study retreat brings ancient wisdom to modern life with lectures by Sudhakar and Avania, Q&A and movie discussions. The mornings include a nature walk and yoga session. Experience vegetarian and vegan meals with the facilitators and fellow participants. Join a community of seekers, whether seasoned or new, and collectively unravel the profound teachings that guide us toward a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
